Darren Earl founded UltraScape Construction in 1984. Four decades later, the company still works the way it did on the first job: the owner designs and prices the build, and is on-site with his crew while it goes in. The Better Business Bureau opened our file in 1994 — thirty years of documented history, an A+ rating, and no major consumer disputes on record.
That continuity is the whole point. When the person who drew your retaining wall is the same person carrying the structural liability ten years later, the incentives line up. Most residential outdoor projects in California are coordination problems disguised as construction. A separate designer, pool builder, mason, electrician, and landscaper — each one pointing at the others when something fails.

Every project runs in the same order. We analyze the site, model the design, and build the structure — grading, drainage, sub-base, retaining — before anything cosmetic goes in. Aesthetics are step four, not step one.
That order is why our competitors’ work fails in five to seven years and ours doesn’t. A pathway that doesn’t lead anywhere isn’t functional, no matter how pretty. A patio over bad sub-grade is just expensive landscaping waiting to crack.
